DOVER, Del.- Dover police say two men are facing numerous charges after robbing a man of money and prescription medications during an armed home invasion.
Police said the crime happened at around 9:40 a.m. Monday at a home in the Kings Cliffe Mobile Home Park at 1131 S. Bay Road. Investigators said 26-year-old Devin Winchester of Marydel, and 23-year-old Devon Wilson of Smyrna, walked through the front door of the home and displayed a firearm. The men then demanded money and prescription medication from the 63-year-old victim, according to police. Investigators said that after taking an undisclosed amount of cash and prescription medications, the men took off in a blue sedan.
Police said responding patrol officers observed the getaway car and conducted a traffic stop on Horsepond Road where both men were taken into custody. Officers located inside the car a prescription pill bottle belonging to the victim, according to police. Officers also found the victim's cash in the car and on the suspects, investigators said.
Both Winchester and Wilson were charged with first-degree robbery, possession of firearm during the commission of a felony, home invasion, wearing a disguise during commission of a felony and first-degree conspiracy.
Both men were ordered held in default of $62,000 secured bond.
