DORCHESTER COUNTY, Md -The Dorchester County Sheriff’s Office has identified a body found earlier this month along the shoreline of Hoopers Island.
Deputies said the remains of the badly decomposing body, which was discovered Saturday, July 1 off of Tom's Point Road were sent to the Maryland State Examiner's Office in Baltimore for identification.
On Sunday, July 9, the Sheriff's Office was notified that the remains were those of 70-year-old Raymond Albert Dudderar, of Saint Mary’s County, Md.
Dudderar was reported missing on June 6, to Maryland State Police, but no foul play was indicated during the examination.
MSP and Maryland Natural Resources Police assisted in the investigation.
