EDGEMOOR, Del. (AP) - Delaware State Police are asking for the public's help in identifying a man who was struck and killed while trying to cross Interstate 495 in Edgemoor.
Troopers say about 8 p.m. on Jan. 22, the man was trying to cross the interstate north of Edgemoor Road when he was hit by a car. Police say the man was knocked to the ground and was hit by several other cars.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities say some of the cars that hit the man left the scene.
The victim is described as black, 45-65 years old and weighing about 130 pounds. He had a beard and a moustache, and was wearing a blue Legea winter coat, blue-on-white Nike sneakers with red laces, black sweatpants and blue jeans.
