Man Killed After Motorcycle Leaves Road, Hits Drainage Ditch

BERLIN, Md.- Route 90 has reopened after an early morning accident that left one man dead, according to Maryland State Police.

Troopers said the single vehicle accident happened at 3:41 a.m. Monday in the area of the Rt. 90 ramp, east of westbound of Rt. 50.

Police said Travis Antonio Irving, of Elkridge was traveling westbound on Rt. 90 when he left the road and hit a tree. According to a preliminary investigation, troopers said Irving was not restrained by a seat belt and was ejected from the vehicle.

Irving was pronounced dead at the scene.

The family has been notified. Irving's body has been sent to the Office of Chief Medical Examiner for an autopsy.

Rt. 90 westbound was closed for two hours.

 The Worcester County Sheriff's Office, Maryland Office of Chief Medical Examiner, Berlin Fire Department, and Maryland State Highway administration assisted with the incident.
