CRISFIELD, Md.- The Maryland Natural Resources Police say a boater is dead after being found slumped over his boat in Somerset County Friday afternoon.
NRP say a call came in around 2:15 p.m. for a 16-foot boat "running around in circles" in the Little Annemessex Rriver near Janes Island.
Police say the victim has been identified as 64-year-old Dennis Hitchcock of Salisbury. He was taken to McCready Memorial Hospital in Crisfield where he was pronounced dead.
A Maryland Natural Resources Police spokesperson say his body will be taken to the Medical Examiner's Office in Baltimore for an autopsy.
