SMYRNA, Del.- Smyrna police have partnered with Connections Community Support to connect more people suffering from substance abuse issues with services that can help them.
The police department announced last week it would have mental health staffers from Connections on hand to assist with patrol officers in responding to certain cases.
The aim of the program is to help many people dealing with substance abuse problems receive the treatment from healthcare professionals that can properly assist them.
