WSFS Bank Robbed in Seaford, Police Seek Suspect

SEAFORD, Del. - Seaford Police are searching for a man they say robbed the WSFS Bank on Sussex Highway in Seaford Monday afternoon.

Police say around noon, a white man wearing a blue shirt, dark blue Nike hoodie, jeans, and tan work boots, entered the bank and told the teller he wanted the money. Police say the man then raised up his shirt to reveal a handgun in his waistband.

Police say the teller gave him an undisclosed amount of money, and he then had the employees lay on the ground as he took off on foot in a northbound direction. Seaford Police Officers responded to the scene along with Delaware State Police and a Delaware State Police K-9 unit who searched the area, but found nothing.

Police say the suspect is described as a white male between 5'6" and 5'9" and wore a black face mask along with the previous description. The Seaford Criminal Investigation Division is asking anyone with information regarding the bank robbery to contact them at 302-629-6644.

Delaware Crime Stoppers is offering a reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of persons or persons involved.
