MARYLAND- Voters in Maryland were heading to the polls Tuesday to cast their ballots in the state's primary elections.
The biggest race is the Democratic race for Governor. Governor Larry Hogan is the only republican on the ballot, as he is running for re-election. However, Tuesday's election will determine who will likely face Hogan in November.
On election day, polling places will be open for voting from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. To avoid delays, voters should try to vote between the hours of 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. Check your polling place here.
Some 80,000 voters will have to cast a provisional ballot. Here's why, and what you need to do if you are affected.
