Georgetown Man Arrested for Robbery

GEORGETOWN, Del.- A 26-year-old Georgetown is facing multiple charges following accusations that he pulled another man out of a vehicle and robbed him. 

Georgetown police said that in the early morning hours of June 21, officers were dispatched to the 100 block of North Race Street for a robbery complaint. Police said that upon arrival, officers learned that the victim was seated in his vehicle when Luis Bautista-Tax walked up and grabbed him from his vehicle. Investigators said the victim was held by his throat while Bautista-Tax took the victim's money and cellphone before fleeing the scene. 

On June 23, Georgetown police detectives were able to locate Bautista-Tax inside an apartment building on North Race Street in Georgetown. He was arrested and charged with second-degree robbery, extortion and second-degree conspiracy. 

Bautista-Tax was arraigned at Justice of the Peace Court #3 and released on a total $12,000 unsecured bond.
