SEAFORD, Del.- Men in Seaford are getting the chance to rebuild and move forward at a new sober living house.
The house is managed by a non-profit called Square One, which has a total of three sober living homes across Sussex County.
The newest house is called "Brandon's House." The first house opened July 2016 called "Mac's House," and "Rob's House" in October 2017.
Some of the tenants like Ivan Baines who recently battled cocaine addiction and is now working to get back on track said the house helps him work on his triggers.
"It got so bad that my mother seen it and it put a lot of stress on her because I was doing it every night and every day and I wasn't eating and that's how she could tell," Ivan Baines said.
The house has eight beds with four current openings for other men who need help.
"It's a place where guys can lay their heads and rest assured that they're getting up in a safe place and there's food on the table, pillows to sleep on, blankets," Patrick Hunt, the house president said.
Square One also implements random drug screenings and has an open door policy with local police officers to keep the men on track.
Some of the men say it's helped them see a brighter future.
"Seeing myself for one not using, and being better off without that and going and starting a new life," Baines said.
There's no limit to the amount of time these men can stay at the facility, as long as they're committed to making a change in their life.
Sober Living has a total capacity of 27 beds, with applications already pending at their newest house.
