FRUITLAND, Md. -- The Fruitland Volunteer Fire Company was on the scene of a structure fire Thursday night.
It happened shortly before 8:45 p.m. on North Division Street.
According to the Fruitland Vol. Fire Company, the fire has since been controlled. No civilians were injured, but a firefighter was hurt while putting the fire out. He was taken to the hospital with injuries to his arm, Fruitland VFC said.
The state fire marshal is now investigating how the fire started.
