Anthony Dickerson, Case Manager at Caroline County Department of Social Services, and Tracy Von Arx, Director of Operations at BesTemps of Salisbury talk about their partnership and what they are doing to help Dad’s get back to work.
BesTemps help Dad’s get back to work so they can pay their child support and be a well-rounded father. Dad’s that live in the Caroline County area that are overdue on paying their child support, or need some type of advisement on child support laws, are eligible. More and more Dad’s are becoming single parents, so they are given a mentor at social services. Having a mentor is important because they can learn how to be an excellent father and learn about resources that are out there to help them.
BesTemps offers jobs in manufacturing, production, administrative, and construction, or any type of jobs that are on the shore where companies on Delmarva need workers.
To work through BesTemps, the father will need to fill out an application and BesTemps will look at their skill set to put them in the best fitting job. BesTemps also offers benefits such as health insurance, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and short term disability to employees working for them. They guarantee employment in 30 days.
The dad’s can work at the job full time after they complete 90 days through BesTemps, and if they are a good fit at the job, they can go onto the companies pay roll full time.
Anthony said they are hoping to set up dad support groups in every county.
