SYNOPSIS: We have a windy night on he way as a strong low pressure system crosses Delmarva. It will turn colder as a gusty westerly wind develops. Skies will clear slowly tomorrow but it will be windy and cool. Clouds will increase, and a major storm will arrive Tuesday.

Monday: Mainly sunny, windy, and chilly. High 46°. Wind: N 8-14 mph.
Forecast Discussion:
Rain will taper off tonight as a strong low-pressure system moves right over Delmarva. Winds will turn to the west and become gusty and rather strong in open areas. We will see temperatures drop to around 36 degrees by daybreak.
Sunday looks mainly cloudy early, and it will be windy and chilly, as the strong low pressure center moves into New England. Skies will clear some during the afternoon with temps. reaching the upper 40's. Winds will gust to 30 mph from the west through the day as a strong low-pressure system moves into New England. Skies will clear Sunday night with a light freeze by daybreak on Monday.
Monday looks mainly sunny, and it will be breezy and chilly. Look for temps. in the mid 40's across Delmarva to reach the mid to upper 40's. Winds will continue from the north at 12-19 mph in the afternoon.
In the long range:Tuesday looks milder, but heavy rain is likely along with winds over 50 mph possible. Look for temps. in the mid 50's with over 1.5 inches possible. Skies will clear slowly Wednesday and it will be mild, with sunshine. Look for PM temps. near 53 degrees Wednesday, cooling to 49 degrees Thursday.
Milder air returns on Friday and Saturday with temps. in the mid to upper 50's! Another heavy rain event is likely Saturday with strong winds. No Arctic air is likely here over the next ten days
