TEMPERANCEVILLE, Va.– The Eastern Shore of Virginia home of a volunteer firefighter went up in flames Monday afternoon.
It happened just before 3 p.m. on Pond Road in Temperanceveville.
Officials with the Atlantic Volunteer Fire and Rescue Company said the home belonged to one of their own. They said he is a longtime member of the department.
Fire officials said the family lost about 90 percent of its belongings.
No injuries were reported.
Investigators continue to search for a cause of the fire.
