CRISFIELD, Md.- The Greater Crisfield Action Coalition plans to make Crisfield the Eastern Shore's number one unique tourist destination.

The coalition will hold a community information and input session Friday at 6 p.m. at the Woodrow Wilson Community Center. Board members will present its five-year plans and goals in the areas of tourism, job development, marketing and home ownership.

Crisfield's Action Coalition said its success will be different this time, for one reason.

"This is the first time we have formed a community development corporation to focus on Crisfield," said Charlotte Scott, coalition president.

David Abbott, a native of Crisfield, is optimistic and said, "I think it could get a lot better if the city council and all would work together and bring business to this town and offer things."

John Schafer and his wife travel through Crisfield often on their way to Virginia and said they primarily come to the area for restaurants. They said they it would be nice if the area had more restaurants on the waterfront.
