EDEN, Md.- A Wicomico County man is recovering from injuries he suffered in an RV fire.

Stephen Byrd, 59, of Eden, was treated and released from Peninsula Regional Medical Center following a midnight fire on Saturday in his RV, parked on Disharoon Road in Eden, according to the Maryland State Fire Marshal’s Office.

The State Fire Marshal’s Office said the fire broke out at 12:23 a.m. in the 1988 Southwinds Recreational Vehicle, which sustained $3500 in damages and another $500 to its contents.

It took 15 firefighters from Fruitland, Allen, and Salisbury 20 minutes to control the fire.

Byrd treated for non-life-threatening burns at PRMC and released, according to investigators, who are still searching for the cause of the fire.
