TOLLAND, Ct. (AP) - Part of Interstate 84 in Tolland, Connecticut, was shut down this morning after a tractor-trailer carrying frozen chicken caught fire.

Police and fire officials responded around 2:30 a.m. Sunday to I-84 near exit 67.  The highway was shut down between exits 67 and 68 while firefighters battled the blaze.  Fire officials say bitter temperatures made it difficult to extinguish the fire. It was knocked down by 8 a.m.

The driver of the truck was not injured.  A local tv station reports the truck was carrying chicken from Mountaire Farms in Millsboro, Delaware.

Crews were clearing the accident and one lane of the highway was cleared by about 9:30 a.m.  There's no word on what caused the fire.
