BERLIN, Md.- Maryland State Police have released the name of a man whose body was found early Wednesday morning under the Herring Creek Bridge in Worcester County.

Troopers on Thursday identified the victim as Ronald Jones Jr., 49, of Berlin.

Police say that shortly after midnight, two people were in a boat on Herring Creek when they discovered Jones floating face down under the bridge. The boaters brought Jones to shore and called 911.

According to police, Jones was pronounced dead at the scene, and after an investigation, there are no signs of foul play.

Jones' body was transported to the Medical Examiner's office in Baltimore for an autopsy. The incident remains under investigation.
