Updated: Millsboro Woman Dies After Hitting Utility Pole

Posted: Updated:

MILLSBORO, Del.- Delaware State Police are investigating a single-vehicle accident that killed a 32-year-old Millsboro woman early Saturday morning.

Police say that shortly after 6:30 a.m. Saturday, a 2003 Chevy Trail Blazer was driving northbound on Mount Joy Road near Cordrey Road, approaching a right curve. Police say the driver was speeding and failed to negotiate the turn, running off the roadway. Police say the car eventually struck a utility pole.

On Sunday, police identified the driver as 32-year-old Kristin F. Fell of Millsboro.

Troopers say the Fell was not wearing a seat belt and it's unclear if she was impaired. Police say she was transported to Beebe Medical Center and pronounced dead at the hospital.

Delaware State Police say if you or someone you know is the victim or witness of a crime or have lost a loved one to a sudden death, you are welcome to call the Delaware State Police Victim Services Unit/Delaware Victim Center. The hotline is available 24/7 at 1-800 VICTIM-1. (1-800 842-8461). People may also email the unit director, Debra Reed, at debra.reed@state.de.us.
