CENTREVILLE, Md.- Maryland State Police say a 28-year-old Centreville man is facing charges after allegedly driving under the influence and causing a three-car accident late Friday night.
Police say that at around 11:48 p.m. on Friday, troopers were dispatched to Route 213 and Wexford Drive in Centreville for a car accident. Police say a 2017 Jeep Wrangler, driven by Bradley Martz, ran a flashing red light and struck a Toyota SUV. Police say both cars were disabled when a third vehicle, a Hyundai SUV, struck the Jeep and also became disabled.
According to the Maryland State Police, when troopers arrived, the Jeep's passenger, 23-year-old Matthew Tayman of Chester, was lying on the road with minor injuries. Police say the driver, later identified as Martz, had fled the scene on foot. The other two drivers were taken to the Queenstown Emergency Room with minor injuries, police say.
Police say after investigating, they found Bradley Martz at his home close to the scene of the accident. Police say Martz showed signs of impairment and was arrested for a DUI. Police say he was processed and released.
