Delaware Police: 46 People Arrested During 1-Day "Blitz"

A Dover woman was arrested after providing officers with a fake name.

HURLOCK, Md.- Maryland State Police are investigating a deadly car crash in Hurlock Tuesday morning. 

According to police, shortly before 6 a.m., a Freightliner traveling eastbound on Rt. 392 near Finchville Road crossed over the dotted yellow line and entered the westbound lane of traffic, striking the driver's side of a Nissan Xterra.

The driver of the Xterra, 50-year-old Yevette Young of Seaford, was pronounced dead at the scene. Her passenger, 27-year-old Victor Randolph, was transported to Peninsula Regional Medical Center for injuries sustained from the crash. There's no word on the extent of his injuries, police said.

The driver and sole occupant of the Freightliner was identified at 35-year-old Solomon White of Dagsboro. White did not report any injuries, according to police.

The Maryland State Police Crash Team is conducting a detailed crash reconstruction. Once completed, the investigation will be forwarded to the Dorchester County State's Attorney's Office for review regarding charges.
