Fire Investigation in Ocean View DE

LINCOLN, Del.- A family of four is recovering after their home catches fire early Sunday morning.

On February 10, 2019, Ellendale Fire Company responded to the 10,000 block of Greentop Road just before 8 a.m. for a camper fire.

A 29-year-old man suffered smoke inhalation. A 31-year-old woman suffered second-degree burns and smoke inhalation. A young, 2, and a boy, 1, were taken to Bayhealth Sussex Campus Emergency Room to be medically evaluated. Both children were released to relatives after being treated.

The two adults were transferred to Crozer Chester Medical Center for further treatment. Both adults are in stable condition.

The State Fire Marshal's Office says there were no smoke alarms in the home. Fire damage is estimated at $2,500.

Deputy fire marshals continue to investigate the fire's origin and it's cause.
