SALISBURY, Md. - For TV viewers in the 1980s, there was one sit-com that millions of families could relate to.
"Family Ties" was on the air from 1982 to 1989 and made its stars household names.
Two of those stars, Meredith Baxter and Michael Gross, paid a visit to the WBOC NewsPlex, where they also appeared on DelmarvaLife to talk about "Love Letters," a show they appeared in on Valentine's Day at the Rehoboth Beach Convention Center in Rehoboth Beach, Del.
On why the show worked so well:
Meredith Baxter: "It's a lot of all of it together. but personally from my perspective of doing it, spending time with Michael, who I, we all met each other for the first time on that show."
Michael Gross: "None of us knew each other."
Meredith: "But we, I think we liked each other so much. I mean we really enjoyed each other and had respect for what we brought to the table, and we just laughed all the time, and I think that kind of translates. That and if you're given the right words, and the right energy, and the right characters then I think we can just blossom."
