CRISFIELD, Md. - A pilot walked home after he crashed his plane at the Crisfield Municipal Airport.
According to Maryland State Police, on June 15, at approximately 4 a.m., Dennis Edward Shaw crashed his plane after he was trying to fly back to New York, but said he had some mechanical problems.
The crash location was approximately 600 yard off the runway.
Shaw says after the crash, he walked to his home on Crisfield Marion Rd.
The Princess Anne Somerset County State Police barrack says Shaw's wife, Lori Dennis, called police to tell them about the crash.
Princess Anne EMS responded to his residence and transported him to PRMC with minor injuries.
Shaw was the only occupant along with two dogs at the time of the incident. Troopers located two dogs in the plane, one of which was deceased.

The investigation is ongoing.
