MAGNOLIA, Del.- Delaware State Police are investigating another weekend crash involving a motorcycle in Kent County.

According to investigators, the accident occurred Friday night as the motorcycle was traveling south on Sophers Row. As the bike was getting ready to approach Clapham Road, police say a driver in a Lexus 300 was backing out of her driveway on the 900 block of Sophers Row when the bike hit the trunk of the car.

The scene of the accident shut down the roadway for almost three hours as police worked to investigate the incident and clear the scene.

Police report the driver of the motorcycle was ejected from the bike. Police say though the biker was wearing a helmet, but he still had to be flown to Christiana Hospital after sustaining life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the Lexus was injured during the collision as well, according to police. She was cited for improper backing.
