SOUTH BETHANY, Del. - The family of Linda Lee Bravo says a body recovered in a South Bethany canal appears to be hers.

The Bethany Beach Police Department was dispatched to Bay Shore Drive shortly before 6 p.m. after a neighbor reported seeing a body in the water. Once on scene, officers from Bethany Beach Police Department, the South Bethany Police Department, Delaware State Police, the Delaware Department of Natural Resources and the Bethany Beach Volunteer Fire Company discovered the body and began recovery efforts.

Bravo's son tells WRDE they have not positively identified the body yet with the Medical Examiner's office but the body's features and location lead them to believe its her. Bravo's son says the body was found near the area where Bravo's cell phone last pinged.

The Bethany Beach Police Department says they are awaiting positive identification before commenting further.
