Clayton Man Arrested for Reckless Endangerment

MAGNOLIA, Del.- Delaware State Police have arrested a Clayton man after he allegedly fired two shots. 

Troopers were called to South Draper Circle in Magnolia around 9:30 p.m. Sunday.

When they arrived, troopers made contact with a woman who said that several people in a car pulled up outside her home and an argument ensued, police said.

Through a further investigation, it was determined that the woman's boyfriend, 23-year-old Andrew J. Wharff, was present during the incident, police said.

According to police, Wharff allegedly fired two shots from a gun in the direction of the 24-year-old victim's car as he attempted to leave. One of the rounds reportedly struck Wharff's car that was parked in the driveway.

There were no reports of any injuries, police said.

Troopers located the firearm inside the home, according to police.

Wharff was taken into custody without incident is was charged with possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony and first-degree reckless endangerment. He was released on $21,000 unsecured bond.

    Smyrna police say a lengthy investigation has led to the arrests of two people for human trafficking and prostitution. 

    Police said that on Monday morning, Dec. 9, detectives  executed search warrants on a home in the 100 block of Holly Ridge Drive and at the Kiki Spa, located on East Commerce Street in Smyrna.  

    Officers took James Walls, 61, and Sha Shen, 64, both of Smyrna, into custody.
