Hebron House Fire Causes Over $25K in Damage

HEBRON, Md.- Authorities have ruled as accidental a Wednesday morning fire that damaged more than $25,000 worth of property and contents at a home in Hebron.

The Maryland State Fire Marshal's Office said the homeowner was present when the fire broke out at around 10:30 a.m. at the two story structure located at 6611 Quercus Dr.

It took 15 firefighters from the Hebron Fire Deparment approximately 15 minutes to get the fire under control.

There were no reported injuries.

Investigators determined the fire started in an upstairs bedroom and was due to an electrical issue.

A smoke alarm was present and activated, deputy state fire marshals said.
