Maryland State Police Investigate Deadly Crash in Worcester County

BERLIN, Md. - One person is dead after a car crash in Worcester County Saturday night.

Troopers from the Maryland State Police Berlin Barrack responded to the area of northbound MD Rt. 589 south of US Rt. 113, Berlin, Worcester County, Maryland in regards to a single vehicle, personal injury accident.

Initial investigation revealed that a 2003 Mitsubishi Eclipse which was operated by Valentine Aaron Ronk, 22 yoa, of Severna Park, Md., the sole occupant of the vehicle, was traveling northbound on MD Rt. 589 south of US Rt. 113 when the vehicle exited the right side of the roadway and overturned several times in a grassy area before coming to final rest.

Ronk was flown to Peninsula Regional Medical Center by Maryland State Police Aviation, Trooper 4, where he succumbed to his injuries.

The Maryland State Police Accident Reconstruction Team responded to the scene to conduct the crash investigation. The investigation is ongoing.
