ACCOMACK COUNTY, Va.- It was another successful lift-off at NASA's Wallops Flight Facility in Accomack County on Saturday morning.

The Anteres rocket blasted into space, carrying with it 8,200 pounds of research and materials.

The spacecraft on the rocket, called Cygnus, is carrying supplies to the International Space Station.

Hundreds of people turned out to watch the countdown and lift-off.

"Rocket launches are always special, but this little guy was excited to see his first launch," said one father.

NASA said Saturday's launch is the 12th resupply mission to the International Space Station.

The cargo supply is expected to reach the station early Monday morning.
