GEORGETOWN, Del. - With temperatures dropping, the amount of visitors in homeless shelters have increased, as well as the demand for volunteers.
Code Purple Sussex County, empowered by Love INC., is a shelter completely volunteer-run, and due to their lack of volunteers, they recently posted this on their Facebook page:

Susan Kent, the executive director of Love Inc. of Mid Delmarva, says they have seen an increase of visitors this week.
"Across Sussex county, across all eight sites that we operate, there is approximately 80 people experiencing homelessness in Sussex county right now," said Kent.
Kent says without volunteers they can not open their doors. To see the different ways you can help, or to sign up to volunteer, you can visit their website.
