DOVER, Del.- Voters will not be required to wear face coverings next month when they head to polling centers in Delaware.
The state has required face coverings inside businesses as part of a state of emergency because of COVID-19.
However, state officials have said they will not require face coverings inside polling centers because they believe turning away voters over not wearing a mask could be unconstitutional.
Gov. John Carney (D-Delaware) on Tuesday said voters worried about the possibility of becoming infected at polling stations should consider voting by mail.
Voters head to the polls on Nov. 3 in the U.S.
