Lewes Man, 76, Dies in Car Crash

MILTON, Del.- Delaware State Police are investigating a crash that claimed the life of a Lewes man on Wednesday afternoon.

Troopers said that shortly before 3 p.m., the 76-year-old victim was driving a 2018 Nissan Sentra northbound on Cedar Creek Road north of Reynolds Pond Road. According to police, the victim's car had trouble driving around a curve and began to spin. The car then crossed over the double yellow centerline and into the southbound travel lane. It crashed into a Ford Escape traveling in the opposite direction.
