The second annual John Brune Law Enforcement K-9 Foundation Fundraiser will take place on Saturday, April 30 at 6 p.m. at Sisters in downtown Berlin, Md.
The annual event is a fundraiser to raise money for a bomb dog at the Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office. During the event, there will be drinks, 50/50 raffles, blackjack and other activities. All of the tips raised will go to the K-9 Foundation as well as 20% of bar and store sales.
In addition to a good cause, the event will celebrate the life of John Brune, a former Baltimore City police officer for 20 years and a member of the Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office for 14 years, who passed away a few years ago.
During last years fundraiser, the foundation raised $13,000.
K-9 Brune, pictured above, was purchased with a portion of the proceeds from the first annual event. This year organizers hope to exceed last years total.
