FORECAST DISCUSSION
Normal high: 62°F. Normal low: 40°F.
The frontal boundary that brought chilly temperatures and lots of clouds and fog on Thursday has retreated to the north. Most of Delmarva saw sun and much warmer temperatures Friday afternoon.
With that front to the north, winds will shift to the south, and be breezy at times, even into the overnight, pushing our over night lows into the low 60s.
Saturday is the pick of the weekend with partly to mostly sunny skies and highs in the low 80s with a gusty southwesterly breeze.
A strong-ish cold front is expected to cross Delmarva sometime on Sunday; the timing is still uncertain, but a rough guess would be sometime in the afternoon/evening timeframe. Temperatures will drop nearly 20 degrees on the backside of the front, so we'll be watching for the potential for severe weather with this front. Watch this space for updates on timing and any severe thunderstorm potential.
Cooler, more seasonable temperatures return next week under mainly sunny skies.
Warmer temperatures return by next Thursday.
In the long range, temperatures are expected to average above normal, and precipitation below normal for April 10 - April 16.
