Today: Mostly sunny. A stray sprinkle can’t be completely ruled out, but it’s not a big chance. Highs: 79-84. Winds: N 5-15 mph.
Tonight: Mostly clear. Lows: 58-65 (Around 70 beaches). Winds: N-NW 5-10 mph.
Tuesday: Mostly sunny. Highs: 78-84. Winds: NW 5-15 mph.
Tuesday Night: Mostly clear. Lows: 60-65 (Around 70 beach). Winds: NW-W 5-10 mph.
Wednesday: Mostly sunny. Highs: 82-87 (75-80 Beach). Winds: W-SW 5-15 mph.
Thursday: Partly to mostly cloudy with the chance of scattered showers on and off throughout the day. Highs: 75-82. Winds: NE-N 5-20+ mph.
We wake up this morning to a very pleasant start out the door with the lower humidity values compared to where we were just a couple days ago. This will be a nice treat today as temperatures climb up into the 70s and 80s for highs today with a mostly sunny sky. There is going to be another weak wave of energy swinging across Delmarva that could spark up a stray sprinkle here or there, but most of us really have nothing to worry about today. Another shot of even drier air arrives behind this boundary that could help our coldest communities fall into the 50s overnight tonight.
High pressure locks control of the forecast to start the work week as it remains sunny and pleasant for Tuesday and Wednesday with highs in the 70s and 80s on Tuesday and into the 80s for most of us on Wednesday. The high slides off the coast by Wednesday night and allows the wind to start to turn out of the southeast and south as more humid air starts to push across the region. This will allow for a moisture feed to set up over the top of us and keep things unsettled with scattered showers on and off throughout the day on Thursday. It will not be a total washout, but it also doesn’t look like the greatest day at the moment.
A cold front will push across Delmarva on Friday with the chance of scattered showers and storms. The weekend forecast, as of right now, doesn’t look too bad with a bit more humidity in the air as highs climb up into the 80s…maybe a few of us to near 90 degrees by Sunday. I am keeping things dry over the weekend, but storm chances return to the cards into the middle of next week.
