The warmer the weather, the more country music concerts. These concerts happen throughout the summer on Delmarva starting with Big Barrel Country Music Festival leading into The Delaware State Fair and finishing up with Delaware Junction in August. One thing you’ll learn when going to these country music events, there are a few ‘must-haves’ that are universal throughout them all. Here’s the list we came up with while attending Big Barrel Country Music Festival:
1.) American Spirit: Whether you are wearing and american shirt, a red, white and blue banana, or carrying a patriotic blanket, this is a must at these festivals!

2.) Cowboy Hats: Well I don’t mean to state the obvious, but I’m going to. If you look around Big Barrel Country Music Festival, you can estimate that about 1 out of every 3 people are wearing cowboy hats. That’s a lot of cowboy hats! They come in all colors and patterns! You can also find them on the youngsters.

3.) Boots: The past couple weeks at The Woodlands have been a little wet, to say the least. But I don’t think that fully explains why the majority of Big Barrel Country Music Festival goers are wearing boots! Rain boots, cowboy/cowgirl boots, work boots, you name it! For every cowboy hat you see, there’s a pair of boots to go with it! Not only do they keep you dry from the puddles and mud around the festival, they look great with a pair of jean shorts!
