Camp Barnes Benefit Race at Delaware International Speedway

The 43rd Annual Camp Barnes Benefit Race will be held this Wednesday, June 24, at Delaware International Speedway in Delmar, Del. A full night of racing is on the books and ready to make some noise.

This race brings racers and spectators from across Delmarva to help benefit Camp Barnes each year. Camp Barnes is owned and operated by Delaware State Police, bringing in kids from ages 10 to 13 with no cost to their parents.

Bonus money is up for grabs at Wednesday night’s race for local racers. In all classes, there will be a $25 lap leader bonus. Big Block Modifieds will face the Small Block Modifieds for a 30-lap feature, which has a payout of $3,000 to win, along with $200 to take the green. Additional money will be available for the top five with the Small Block Modifieds. The Super Late Models will be up for the same purse, but with a 25-lap feature. Other classes will show who is best-of-the-best with Crate Models, AC Delco PSC Modifieds, Mod Lites and Little Lincoln Vintage Cars.

The gates open at 4 p.m. with racing starting at 7 p.m. General admission cost is $20, and the cost to access the pits for the full experience is $30.
