There are many things you celebrate when you’re in high school. For Laurel High School athletes, they’re still celebrating.
Director of Bulldog Spirits, Matt Parker, tells us about this upcoming event that the Laurel Historical Society is helping to put together.
Bulldog Spirits is all about getting as many Delaware sports hall of fame members, all state athletes, championship coaches and others that were important to Laurel athletics together and honor them.
Ron Waller, Coach George Schollenberger, Julie Dayton, and Ben Sirman will be in attendance, just to name a few Laurel High School Alumni who had outstanding athletic careers during their high school years, and after.
Attendees can expect dinner, drinks, live game footage, vintage photos, displays, and more, and anyone interested in the history of Laurel is welcomed to attend.
Bulldog Spirits is Saturday, Jan. 21, with a cash bar beginning at 5:30 pm and dinner at 6:30 pm. The event is at the Laurel Fire Hall and tickets are $35 a person. Casual attire with school colors, red and white.
