A Somerset County mother and her two children were viciously attacked in their Princess Anne home in Dec. 2016.
Princess Anne Police say after Airealle Sells was stabbed by her boyfriend, he attacked her two children. Sells died a few days later and the children were left fighting for their lives. The children are still receiving care at Johns Hopkins. Aiden is 4-years-old and is paralyzed on his left side and Naomi is 8-years-old and is recovering from a second brain surgery and is in rehab. When the children are released, they will live with their grandmother, but her home will need to be retrofitted to be handicap accessible as well as to meet the needs of the children.
That’s where Habitat for Humanity of Wicomico County comes in. Molly Hilligoss, executive director at Habitat for Humanity of Wicomico County joins us in the studio to tell us about their project to help the family, “Hope for a Homecoming.”
This project will cost over $70,000 and Habitat for Humanity is asking for your support. Their goal is to raise $45,000 to put towards this project.
