What’s Happening- June 21, 2017

A local attraction getting a lot of attention this time of year is the Hebron Fireman’s Carnival, which is officially up and running! The Festival has been a summer tradition for families on Delmarva for more than ninety years, with all of the proceeds going back to the Fire Department to help improve fire-fighting activities and community projects.

To tell us more about it, Hebron Volunteer Fire Department member, Pete Peterman, stopped by the studio to share more about the Carnival’s history, as well as the food, attractions and events you can expect to see this year!

The Carnival started in 1926 and has since continued to grow along with the Fire Department.

The annual Carnival is famous for its tasty “oyster sandwiches” along with taste treats such as cotton candy, funnel cakes, numerous sandwiches. The Carnival offers a full night of entertainment of games and rides for the whole family.

Carnival information is all available on the Fire Department‘s website or by watching the clip above!
