The Delaware KIDS (Kids In Distressed Situations) Fund is having a 5k on Saturday, August 13, in Dewey Beach, Del., where you can come out to help fight hunger in Delaware.
The Delaware KIDS Fund is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing goods and services to children at risk and in distressed situations. The KIDS Fund provides financial support for essential needs such as clothing, shelter, and food, and financial support for counseling and scholarships.
Director of Marketing for Harvey, Hanna, and Associates, Ryan Kennedy stops by to tell us more about the fund and events coming up.
Registration for the Inaugural Que Pasa 5k is $25.00 prior to the race and $30.00 on the day of, and begins at 7 a.m., at the Que Pasa Restaurant in Dewey. The race starts at 8 a.m.
There will also be a post-race beach party at Que Pasa with a DJ, raffle, food and beverages, on-site massages, and amenities for the kids. Proceeds will be donated directly to various youth emergency food relief programs.
