Another magical moment you can be a part of, walking or running alongside the fighters and families touched by Alzheimer’s. The famous “Athletes Against Alzheimer’s, 5k Walk or Run” will be taking place Sunday, August 6 in downtown Bethany Beach. The event helps raise funds for the Delaware Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association, which will help continue research aimed at eradicating the debilitating disease. Founder of “Athletes Against Alzheimer’s“, Michael Loftus and Senior Director of Advocacy for the Delaware Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association, Katie Macklin joined Jimmy today to discuss the event and how you can get involved.
From one good cause to another, Lisa sat down with Kristin Staples and Lynn Adkins, co-creators of “SBY Rocks” to discuss how this unique and creative initiative, popping up nationwide, has made it’s way to Salisbury and is already brightening up people’s days one rock at a time.
