“Bigger than Your Plate” fish platters, fried shrimp dinners and yyster stew.
Hungry yet? These options are all meals Catholics are able to eat on Fridays during Lent.
Catholics are required to abstain from eating meat on both Good Friday and each Friday in Lent, making fish a common substitute for meat-based meals.
This tradition is typical throughout the United States and it is a tradition Delmarva churches have been known to participate in.
