Two members of the Delmarva DIVA’s, Emily Griffith and Ashia Wright, sat down with Jimmy to discuss their group, DIVA’s.
DIVA’s, which stands for “Dedicated Involved Versatile Athletes, is a youth mentoring group that gets young women ready for their future as well as to improve their athletics.
The group is very active in the community as they are involved in service learning and projects that better the communities in which they live.
There is an upcoming girls empowerment camp being put on by the DIVA’s where they will teach young women about the dangers of bullying, how to be their best self, and to make the girls feel like they can go out and do whatever they want in life. The camp is will be run from 10 am to 5 pm being held Saturday, July 15th at 1009 North Washington Street, Easton.
