Daydream away at Dreamer Coffee & Juice Bar in Rehoboth Beach, Del.—it’s encouraged.
After traveling through Europe, catching some rays on the West Coast and spending her college days in New York City, Adile Akgoren decided to plant her roots in Rehoboth Beach, Del. Pun intended.
Akgoren owns and operates Dreamer Coffee & Juice Bar on Rehoboth Avenue, an idea that stemmed from her first love—jewelry.
“I’ve owned Adeline [New York] Jewelry on the avenue for a long time, for more than 10 years,” Akgoren says. “We were looking for a place to eat everyday, something healthy, but we couldn’t find much, so we decided to open our own.”

Two years ago, Dreamer Coffee & Juice Bar opened up shop and business has been booming ever since. The health food, coffee shop offers a wide variety of acai bowls, delicious smoothies, various coffees, signature chai teas and thirst quenching lemonades.
According to Akgoren, the best part of the business is the loyal customers.
“We have a lot of repeat customers,” Akgoren says. “The customers take care of themselves physically and emotionally. They come in every day, every morning, which makes us very happy.”
Dreamer Coffee & Juice Bar runs seasonally, opening up on the first of April and closing in mid-October. Akgoren says from the time the bar opens at 6:30 a.m. until the time it closes at 12:30 a.m., they are packed. Akgoren says the placement of the shop in Rehoboth Beach helps the business catch a ton of boardwalk traffic.
For customers who have never been, there are a few things Akgoren wants you to know.
“Everything is original, nothing is concentrated, everything is for the customer.”
In addition to the Rehoboth Beach location, Akgoren is opening up shop in South Beach, Florida and Manhattan, New York. But the business owner begs you not to worry, she’ll still be in Rehoboth Beach during the upcoming summer seasons.
