Ginny tells us all about annuals and how they come in many colors, textures, and sizes. She also talks about hanging baskets and how some of them are self-cleaning, meaning the dead flower just falls off so you do not have to cut it yourself. Ginny also tells us that hanging plants can be taken out of the hanging basket and planted in the ground.

“Plants that get morning sun and afternoon shade are shade lovers and I picked up a New Guinea in a bright pink with warm orange tones,” Ginny says. “Again I could keep it as a hanging basket to have color at whatever height I want or I could plant it in a larger container or plant in it in the garden for instant flower color.”

Ginny says to keep annuals blooming all summer long, we can use a table spoon of slow release fertilizer and water of course.
