Kevin Brown and his wife Margaret Evans own and operate Groundworks Farm in Pittsville, Md., a Community Supported Agriculture program, designed to make it fun and easy to feed your family healthy, local, organic food year round.
“We learned how to mix it up and keep it fresh and exciting for the members,” Brown said, smiling.
Groundworks Farm CSA is a six month program. Each week for six months, customers come out to the Wicomico County farm and pick out their produce and meat. Brown says each week there is something different. Items available at Groundworks Farm CSA come from Brown and Evan’s organic farm, as well as other organic farms in the area.
“We work really hard to make sure you’re not going to get stuff you don’t want.”
The organic food loving couple became passionate about health in college and pursuing their passion lead them to the great soil in Pittsville. Their love for healthy, local produce is supported by the joy they receive from their customers.
“We try to bring people together to pick out their own produce and be in a space where they can interact with each other. We want it to be a fun event you can do with your kids every week.”
