Lori Truitt, of Salisbury, and her guide dog, Ito, join us on the couches to talk about how he gives her independence.
Lori was born with Aniridia, which means she does not have irises in her eyes. Ito guides Lori and enables her to maintain an active life.
Lori used a white cane for awhile, but she decided to research guide dogs to see how one could assist her.
They both recently graduated from Guiding Eyes for the Blind. The program matches you with a dog and Lori says she’s thankful the program allowed her to partner with Ito.
