Hats for Hospice Thursday May 6 2015 YouTube

Alan Meritt-Hyle, Co-Chair for Hats for Hospice tells about how the community is involved with this event. Vernon Powell donated the hats and the designers create hats to raise money for local hospice. The hats are displayed at Vernon Powell until the event.

Maureen McNeil, with Coastal Hospice and Palliative Care, tells us that hospice is end of life care. A team of physicians, nurses, aids, volunteers, and chaplains work together to help patients through the transition process.

This is the fourth year for the Hats for Hospice event. The hats that were made and displayed at Vernon Powell will be there and the winner will be announced. That night, guests are encouraged to wear hats because there is another contest that night for the hats to be judged.
