The World of Outlaws came to Delaware for a night of Late Model Series racing at Delaware International Speedway in Delmar, Del. on Aug. 13.

We spoke with local driver, #7 Ross Robinson, before the race about how racing with the Outlaws is a good learning experience. Check it out: http://www.delmarvalife.com/featured/world-of-outlaws-late-model-series-delaware-international-speedway/

The night started out with heat races where local drivers earned their spot in the World of Outlaws A-Main 50 lap feature race. 24 cars lined up 4-wide as the green flag waved.

Caution on lap one with #8 Mark Pettyjohn and a couple laps later, #20 Staci Warrington brought a caution out. Engines were roaring and dirt was flying each lap the cars took. Everyone’s eyes were on their favorite drivers and they were cheering each time the cars passed the stands.

The fans went wild when Seaford, Del. native, #11 Austin Hubbard took the lead. Hubbard lead most of the race up until the last 5 laps when he blew an engine. #1 Josh Richards then took the number one spot and the checkered flag. Richards took home over $10,000.00 for winning the Fulton Bank 50.
